Senior backend engineer
Own the ledger and bank feed services that every pound flows through.
What you will do
- Design and ship the ledger services behind live balances and reconciliation
- Make bank feeds faster, safer and easier to recover when a provider has a bad day
- Pair with product on the parts of accounting that should be invisible
- Leave the codebase clearer than you found it, with tests that earn their keep
What we are looking for
- Five or more years building backend services in a typed language
- Comfort with money, ledgers, idempotency and the odd edge case that only happens at month-end
- A bias for small, boring, well-understood systems over clever ones
- We decide in docs rather than meetings, so clear writing matters
